Update.

Shoot. Looks like I'll be missing a great movie and a swell party.

If you're like me, and can't go to the Bodacious Boot "sneak peak" showing... all is not lost. The folks at AMS Production Group are planning one (or more) star-studded premiere screenings of Bodacious Boots once it's finished and rendered in all its high-def grandeur.

Stay tuned for more info.

P.S. The next screening will be on a weekend to make travel plans easier. See you there!

Shoe are you? Cowboy Boots!

Recently, I was interviewed by Miss Meghan Cleary, America's shoe expert on her stylish weekly podcast, "Shoe are you?"

You can listen to the podcast and view a few photos on Miss Meghan's blog.

Meghan is the author of The Perfect Fit: What your shoes say about you. A swell little book, with a special chapter dedicated to "the cowboy boot girl."

(You can listen to this and Meghan's other podcast episodes on iTunes or PodShow.)

Cowboy Boots Post 9/11

On Sunday morning I get on an airplane headed to Dallas.

I'm getting filmed one last time for Bodacious Boots.

Let's be honest here. I admit that the main reason I went back to yoga class was to get a body better suited to hi-def, but one of the most-excellent side effects is that I can now stand on one leg and pull my cowboy boots off in the airport security line.

Makers' Marks

Factory-made? Custom made? Take a peek inside the secret language of cowboy boot labels, signature stitches and inking. I've posted a bunch of photos of cowboy boot labels and signature stitches on Flickr. I'm hoping it's a help to boot collectors and a tribute to makers.

Move your mouse over the photos to view extra notes and info.

Add your own photos to Flickr and join the fun! Points awarded for artistic merit. (If you run into to trouble you can e-mail me your photos and I will post them.)
