So, this morning I spent quietly banging my head against my desk trying to figure why my mailing list software doesn’t work…why my e-mail is being forwarded back and forth in mysterious ways. But, I just poured myself a cup of tea and
turned up the stereo real loud
…and I feel better now.

I’ve live in my house for almost 6 years now…I don’t care if my neighbors see me dancing around the living room.

Well, my plans for returning home with nothing but carry-on luggage have been thwarted…too much Christmas loot. It’s a wonderfully odd collection of things…sprinker hoses from my dad, a beautiful fountain pen from my pal Ty, some cashmere socks and a scarf…a suitcase fulla soap and mustard. Yep, mustard).

Weather permitting, I’ll walk into town with my sister Sue Ann tomorrow. The only jobs that need doing tomorrow is to drink some coffee (Pannikin Coffee & Tea) and walk off some of that cranberry cake.

So, I put up some Christmas lights, first time ever and I’ve lived here 6 years. All the old timers on the street keep saying out loud how nice the street “usta look”…and one by one everyone here under the age forty is buckling under the pressure…now off buying lights, staple guns, and extension cords. I went for what I knew best, the big ol’ C9’s…the screw in bulbs…no racing or blinking, just a sure and steady holiday glow. (Once the rain stops, I might borrow my neighbor’s ladder and try putting the lights up over my standing five foot limit.)
