I’ve got a stack of e-mails…other bootmakers, other states…but at least I’ve got Texas updated.
It was a boot day today. I’ve got a pile of bootmakers to add to my Texas lists. I think need a “hired gun”…someone to recode my bootmaker lists to generated by a database. Now that I’ve got the 2 Texas lists, I literally have twice as much work. Stay tuned, I’ve got some new weblinks to show ya…maybe by Friday?
Today, I’m home working for my day job. I did however do one “boot thing” so far today. I fix my weblog…it mysteriously stopped working…wouldn’t let me post. That’s how a lot of things go. The software changes, “evolves” I guess…and then I have to keep up on my end.
It’s gonna rain today. I’ve got the heat turned up. In my house, the heat all comes from a vent that sits in the floor between the living room and the dining room. My desk is in the dining room, right next to the vent. I spend all winter standing (or sitting) in a 3 foot square area, between the living room and the dining room, no kidding. Brrrrrr. My house was built in eighteen ninety something when drafty windows were all the rage.
I’ve been reading West of Everything: The Inner Life of Westerns, a book by Jane Tomkins. It’s a very good book… her “look at Westerns” is helping me rethink my own look at cowboy boots. (I’m still working on that book, ya know) I’m gonna grab some tea, a blanket, a notepad and venture to the couch.
